Another time the Universe is pushing me towards my goals and making sure I AM GOING TO GET THERE !
The help came through this blog relating to this website.
It is all about the most common mistakes made and how to avoid them !
My most done mistakes are :
#1 Setting unrealistic goals, even now with the experience and the wisdom of the years I am falling into that trap. So I decided to give myself two to three years for my body overhaul.
#2 Expecting to see results right away. Combined with # 1 it is a ticking time bomb to :
a. quit
b. binge
c. feel like crap and do more of A, b then c and this endlessly ! Argh !
#3 Doing too much too soon, then feeling so bad at it, so not achieving, so tired and painful that the only thing I want is to get into a french pastry shop and eat every single piece of cake there to make me feel better and forget about my aching bum/legs/shoulders/feet/back/arms/brain etc.
#4 Trying every trends then sucking at it badly, feeling ashamed and hide in the gym ladies changing room until the end of the afternoon. Or walking back to that damn french bakery !!!
#5 Not doing what motivates me then feeling crappy and guilty and forced to do it ! Then giving up and feeling even more crappy. Argh !!!
#6 Focusing on aerobics only because I don;t trust myself to seriously lift weight and enjoy myself A LOT doing so !
#7 Not eating enough or too much before and after a workout ! Fruit eating is making this better definitely but I still regularly screw up with that one !
And you, fit people, what are your mistakes and how do you outsmart them ???
